Wilhelm Struve (SA member)

Wilhelm "Willi" Struve (born December 21, 1895 in Kassel , † June 24, 1971 in Hamburg ) was a German politician and SA leader . During the Second World War , Struve was President of the Labor Office in the Government General .

Career

Struve, whose father was private secretary, worked as a laborer from 1910 to 1914 after finishing school (elementary school). He volunteered for military service on September 4, 1914, then took part in the First World War as a soldier until 1917 and was a member of the Ehrhardt Marine Brigade and the Silesian Border Guard between 1919 and 1920 . He then went on trips and did commercial self-studies. From 1923 to 1926 he worked as an office worker and branch manager and then until 1930 as an independent businessman. At the end of 1927 he joined the SA and at the beginning of January 1928 the NSDAP ( membership number 75,587). From May 1930 to May 1931 he was district leader of the NSDAP and then head of the district organization for the district of Koblenz-Trier. He was a member of the Prussian state parliament from 1932 to 1933 . From 1933 to 1940 he was District Administrator in Koblenz and from April 1933 to 1942 Gauamtsleiter for local politics. From the beginning of March 1940 to autumn 1942 he headed the Rhineland State Labor Office. In the SA he rose to senior leader in January 1942.

In mid-October 1942, Struve became the agent of the general representative for work in the Generalgouvernement (GG). From January 1943 he was the successor of Max Frauendorfer President of the main office work in the GG under the Governor General Hans Frank . Struve held this position until mid-January 1945.
