Wilhelm Werhahn (born January 3, 1939 in Neuss ) is a German entrepreneur.

Life

Werhahn comes Neuss business family Wehrhahn . He is the great-great-grandson of the company's founder, Peter Wilhelm Werhahn . After graduating from the Quirinus-Gymnasium in Neuss and completing a bank apprenticeship, he studied law and joined the Karstadt retail group in 1970 . In 1978 he moved to the family-owned Werhahn Group, where he took over a seat on the board in 1979. Due to the company's close ties to the RWE electricity group , he also took on board positions at Lausitzer Braunkohle AG and Lahmeyer AG .

From 1993 he was a member of the plenary assembly of the IHK Middle Rhine , on January 23, 2002 he was elected president and confirmed in office in 2007.

Wilhelm Werhahn is married and has two children. He has been a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. since 1961. Burgundia Munich.
