Wilhelm Wolfgang Bröll

Wilhelm Wolfgang Bröll (also: WW Bröll , pseudonyms : William Burns , Peter Wolick , born July 9, 1913 in Gelsenkirchen , † February 28, 1989 in Gummersbach ) was a German writer .

Life

Little information is available about Wilhelm Wolfgang Bröll's life. The author lived in Cologne and later in Gummersbach , where he belonged to a Masonic lodge .

Wilhelm Wolfgang Bröll published several detective novels between 1938 and 1940 . From 1948 onwards, he published numerous successful novels for the loan book and magazine novels market, which at first were mainly to be assigned to the genre of science fiction ; but also other crime and wild west novels were created . From the late 1950s onwards, Bröll wrote books for children and young people under the pseudonym "Peter Wolick" . In the 1960s he also worked as a translator or editor on so-called "television books" in which episodes from successful series such as B. Lassie and Bonanza were retold; He also wrote several radio plays , scripts for television plays and hit lyrics .
