Ludolf August Wilhelm von Bismarck (born August 15, 1867 in Stendal , † June 24, 1935 in Jestädt ) was a Prussian district administrator .

Origin and family environment

Wilhelm von Bismarck came from the Briest branch of the ancient noble family of the von Bismarck family , which is widespread in the Margraviate of Brandenburg and other Prussian provinces and had its origins in Stendal , where it sat on the city council until it was court master with the margravial Brandenburg council and Chancellor Nikolaus (Claus) von Bismarck (around 1308-1377) enfeoffed with castle stables and thus became rural. He was the eldest son of the royal Prussian real privy councilor, district administrator and governor of the Altmark Ludolf August von Bismarck (1834-1924), Fideikommissherrn on Briest and Herr auf Welle, and Elisabeth Woldeck von Arneburg (1842-1882).

Professional activities

After studying law, Wilhelm von Bismarck entered the Prussian administrative service and, like his father, became royal Prussian district administrator for the Stendal district . After his father's death, he inherited his Fideikommissgut Briest, while the Welle estate in the Stendal district , which also belonged to his father and did not belong to the Fideikommiss, went to his younger brother Bernhard Ludolf von Bismarck (1876–1935), a royal Prussian major. Wilhelm von Bismarck was married on June 27, 1903 to Edith Countess von der Schulenburg (1881–1970), a daughter of the royal Prussian chief president and former district administrator. D.
