Wilhelm von Danckelmann

Wilhelm Freiherr von Danckelmann (* May 20, 1741 ; † 1782 at Pegu ) was crown tax of the Dutch possessions in Asia .

Life

He came from the noble family von Danckelmann raised to the baron status and was one of the five sons of Carl Ludolph Freiherr von Danckelmann .

After his death, his father left three manors in Lodersleben and the one in Obhausen . Since Wilhelm was constantly abroad, he left the goods to his siblings. In 1769 his younger brother Ludwig Philipp Gottlob Freiherr von Danckelmann reunited the goods in one hand by buying them from his siblings.

He was married to Cornelia Helena born on March 20, 1777. von Baumgardt, daughter of a councilor of the Dutch-East Indian company in Cape Town . She was born on August 18, 1754 in Chinsura and died on October 26, 1836. In 1779 his second son Adolph was born in Chinsura . The eldest son William was born in 1778.

Wilhelm drowned in a shipwreck on the coast near Pegu. He left a widow with two small children, whom his brother Ludwig Philipp Gottlob Freiherr von Danckelmann took care of at Lodersleben.
