Lodersleben is a district of the city of Querfurt in Saxony-Anhalt .

history

In a register of the tithe of the Hersfeld monastery that was created between 881 and 899, Lodersleben is mentioned for the first time in a document as the place of Ludelsleba in Friesenfeld, which is subject to a tenancy requirement . There were two allodial manors in Lodersleben, the Schuttsackische and the Marschallische, which later came into the possession of the von Starschedel family . Heinrich Clemens von Starschedel sold it to Nikolaus Bartholomäus Michael von Danckelman in 1722 . His son Carl Ludolph von Danckelmann followed him after his death in 1739. In 1740 the construction of the castle was commissioned by the von Danckelmann family . The builder David Schatz carried out the construction. In the 19th century the historian Leopold von Ranke lived here for a time . Later ownership passed to the von der Schulenburg family . After the Schulenburg was expropriated in 1945, it was used as refugee accommodation and as a school until the 1970s.

The Benedictine monastery Eilversdorf was located near the village .

Until 1815 the place was in the Saxon office of Querfurt .

Until April 1834 the seat of the administration of the district of Querfurt was in Lodersleben .

On May 11, 1995 Lodersleben was incorporated into Querfurt.

Economy and Infrastructure

The economy of Lodersleben is characterized by craft businesses as well as trade and gastronomy / tourism. There is no designated industrial area. The Röblingen am See – Vitzenburg railway with a train station in Lodersleben, which opened in 1904, was shut down in 2003.

Heimatfest

The Heimatfest is the largest and most important village festival in Lodersleben. It always takes place on the first weekend in July, following an old tradition. It is celebrated in the park near the baroque palace, here is an open-air stage and the house of the clubs.

Club life

There are several local clubs in Lodersleben, including a shooting club and a sports club. The men's choir founded in 1878 dissolved in 2014. In 2003, a citizens' initiative against the construction of a larger pig fattening facility in the adjacent Ziegelrodaer Forest was founded. The regional planning procedure for the construction of this facility failed in 2007 due to the environmental impact assessment and was discontinued after the building application was withdrawn. The citizens' initiative still exists to prevent the building project from being resurrected.
