Wilk Elektronik SA is a Polish manufacturer of computer memories under the brand name “Goodram”. The company is based in Łaziska Górne near Katowice in Upper Silesia . The product range includes RAM , SSD hard drives and USB sticks . Since Qimonda's bankruptcy , the company is the only remaining manufacturer of RAM modules in Europe.
history
The company was founded in 1991 in Tychy by Wiesław Wilk and initially dealt with the sale of RAM memories . In 1996 the company was the largest RAM distributor in Poland. After the move to Łaziska Górne in 2004, the company's own products are manufactured under the brand name “Goodram”. Another brand, "Gooddrive" (SSD, pendrives), was replaced in 2011 by the uniform Goodram brand. The company has been cooperating with Toshiba since 2008 and acts as a distributor for their memory products in Eastern and Southeastern Europe . Further partnerships exist with Samsung , Micron and Elpida . In 2009 the company had annual sales of 100 million US dollars. In the 2009 list of the 200 largest Polish IT companies compiled by Computerworld magazine , the company was ranked 43rd.
