Will Schwarz (painter)

Will Schwarz (born December 29, 1894 in Hückelhoven ; died July 13, 1946 in Amorbach ) was a German expressionist painter and member of the Düsseldorf artists' association Malkasten .

Life

Will Schwarz spent his youth in Doveren and began training in mechanical engineering in Mönchengladbach , which he had to drop out for health reasons. He attended the art academy in Düsseldorf from 1915 to 1919 and settled there as a freelance artist. In addition to his work as a painter, he was also active in literature . In 1935 he married Helene Leven. After bombing raids , the family with four children moved first to Merbeck in 1942 and then to Amorbach in the Odenwald in 1944 .
