Willi Welscher (born August 1, 1906 in Frankfurt am Main , † February 20, 1987 in Würzburg ) was a German athlete . With a height of 1.81 m, Welscher had a competition weight of 72 kg.

Willi Welscher had little luck in his international assignments in the 110-meter hurdles . At the Olympic Games in 1932 , he was in that final, in which three reigning US world record holders met and George Saling won. According to the rules of the time, Welscher was disqualified after running around four hurdles. At the first European Championships in 1934 , he got stuck in the run-up just as he did at the Olympic Games in 1936 .

With his personal best of 14.8 s, which he set in 1932, 1935 and 1936, Welscher could have achieved quite a bit internationally in those years. At German championships, Welscher was dominant with four championship titles in 1929, 1930, 1934 and 1936 and three second places in 1928, 1932 and 1935 together with Erwin Wegner .
