Willi Zargus (* December 21, 1887 ; † unknown) was a German football player .

Player career

Willi Zargus moved to BFC Hertha in 1905 . With the Berliners he needed some time before he could secure a place in the starting XI. On the 7th matchday of the 1905/06 season, Zargus made his debut in the game at BFC Preussen , which the Herthaners won 2-1. From then on, Zargus had a place in the starting XI for years to come. At the end of the season, the blue-whites won the Berlin championship for the first time and thus qualified for the final round of the 1906 German championship . There, too, Zargus was one of those who played both games. In Dresden , SC Schlesien Breslau was defeated 7-1. As a result, Hertha reached the semifinals against VfB Leipzig . After a hard-fought game, Zargus' club had to admit defeat to the future German champions 2: 3.

From then on Zargus played regularly, but the BFC could no longer come close to the successful 1905/06 season.

After he was only used sporadically in the 1913/14 season, Willi Zargus ended his playing career in the summer of 1914.
