William Barbour Agnew (born December 16, 1879 in Kilmarnock , † August 19, 1936 in Moffat ) was a Scottish football player and football coach . The defender at the time worked in his home country as well as in England .
career
Born in Kilmarnock in 1879, William Agnew began his career with FC there . He later joined the English clubs Newcastle , Middlesbrough and Sunderland , among others .
In addition, Agnew also represented the Scottish national team , for which he played three games.
After the end of his playing career, he temporarily coached the Third Lanark club . He died in 1936 at the age of 56.
