William C. Rose Award
The William C. Rose Award from the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) is given for excellence in biochemistry and molecular biology . In addition, the award winner should devote himself to the training of young scientists. It is named after the nutritionist William Cumming Rose (1887–1985), professor at the University of Illinois and discoverer of threonine .
