William John Dickson

William John Dickson (* 1827 , † 1901 in Kensington ) was a British diplomat .

Life

On January 13, 1852 William John Dickson appointed as third class attaché in Tehran and promoted to second class attaché on April 22, 1852. Until 1855 he was at court in Tehran. From 1855 to 1860 he was the managing consul general in Tabriz .

In 1863 he was second class embassy secretary at the Shah's court and was appointed Oriental Secretary. In 1885 he was sent to Colombia as British Prime Minister and Consul General .
