The Williams Ice Stream is a 25 km long ice stream on the Bryan Coast of West Antarctica Ellsworthland . It flows east of the Fletcher Peninsula to the Venable Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2003 after Richard S. Williams Jr. of the United States Geological Survey , a specialist in the air- and satellite-assisted investigation of geomorphological processes in global glacier fluctuations, especially in Iceland and Antarctica .
