Willibald Weiss (born July 18, 1948 in Ingolstadt ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Willibald Weiss experienced his first years in the senior sector at his home club, ESV Ingolstadt . With them he played four years in the Regionalliga Süd after promotion in 1968 . During this time he played 135 games for Ingolstadt, in which he scored 35 goals. After relegation in 1972, he moved to Rot-Weiss Essen . After the championship in the Regionalliga West and the subsequent round of promotion, Weiss played with the Red-Whites in the 1973/74 season in the Bundesliga , he completed 26 games for the team from Hafenstrasse . For the following season he moved to SV Darmstadt 98 for reasons of study . He played for Darmstadt for the next eight years, during which he was promoted to the Bundesliga twice ( 1978 and 1981 ) . After his active career, he was still active as a coach in various lower-class Darmstadt clubs.

The sedentary become in Darmstadt Weiss now teaches as a high school teacher in the subjects of mathematics and sport .
