Willie Gonzales , real name Wilberto Gonzáles (born May 13, 1958 in Bayamón , Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican salsa musician .

Life

Willie Gonzales started playing the trombone at the age of 15 . He later developed his skills as a singer and composer. Together with Eddie Santiago he was singer in the band Orquesta Saraguey. Then both switched to the group Conjunto Chaney, which landed their first hit with the title "Paso la vida Pensando". In 1988, after switching to the Orquesta Noche Sensual again, both developed into the Salsa Romántica and Salsa Erótica styles, which emerged in the 1980s.
