Willy Heide
Willy Heide (born October 30, 1919 in Munich ; † August 13, 2011 there ) was a German restaurateur .
Career
Heide was born in the Westend district of Munich as the son of a landlord. With his father he received training as a restaurateur . In 1953 he and his father became the host of the Bräurosl tent at the Oktoberfest . After his death in 1971 he took over the sole management of the tent and also the Heide-Volm excursion restaurant in Planegg , where he was also an honorary citizen.
From 1984 to 2001 he was the spokesman for the Oktoberfest hosts . In 2001 he handed over the management of the Bräurosl to his son Georg.
