Willy Küsters

Willy Küsters (born August 2, 1888 in Duisburg , † September 1, 1949 in Friedrichshafen ) was a German writer .

Life

Willy Küsters was the son of an industrial fitter . From 1903 to 1906 Küsters completed a commercial training , then he worked as an accountant in Duisburg until 1913 and as a businessman in Düsseldorf from 1914 to 1924 . From 1924 to 1928 he was a partner and later sole owner of the See-Verlag in Konstanz . From 1932 to 1944 he worked as a bookseller in Friedrichshafen .

Willy Küsters was first and foremost a poet ; his poems can be attributed to Expressionism and appeared in the period before 1914 and during the First World War exclusively in magazines of the Expressionist movement such as Pfemfert's " Aktion ". The scattered works of the largely forgotten author were first published in book form in 1993.
