The Wilson River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river has its source on the southern slopes of Wombat Hill , about 11 km southwest of the small town of Waratah , and flows south. Approx. 14 km west of Rosebery it flows into Lake Pieman and thus into the Pieman River .
