history
In the district of Oberwampach is the country castle Wampach , the Lords of Wampach, whose origins go back to the 13th century. By marrying it in 1520 it came to the Palatinate-Luxembourg noble family Schliederer von Lachen , who had it rebuilt. A coat of arms stone from 1580, with the corresponding alliance coat of arms, is preserved there.
