The Wind River is a stream of classified tributary of the Columbia River in the state of Washington . It runs entirely in Skamania County (Washington) . A previous name was Crusattes River .

The Wind River has its source in the Cascade Range , south of Mount Adams and Mount St. Helens . It flows generally south through the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and joins the stream of the same name near Carson in the Columbia River Gorge .
