The Wind River is a 2 mile long river in Wood-Tikchik State Park in southwest Alaska .

It forms the outflow of Lake Kulik , flows south-east and flows 85 km north of Dillingham into Mikchalk Lake , which in turn flows into the much larger Lake Beverley .

The native name for the river was documented as Gui-guok-lok by HC Fasset of the US Bureau of Fisheries in 1910 . The current name goes back to the locals FH Waskey and Beverley Polley, who gave the name to Gerald Fitzgerald of the United States Geological Survey in 1930 .
