The Wind Spirit is a cruise ship commissioned for Windstar Cruises in 1988 and the last of a total of three identical sister ships .

history

The Wind Spirit was built by Ateliers et chantiers du Havre in Le Havre and launched on July 13, 1987. After delivery to Winstar Cruises on March 24, 1988, the ship began service in the Caribbean in April 1988 . The sister ships of the Wind Spirit are the identical Wind Star and Wind Song .

The yacht-like Wind Spirit is equipped with computer-controlled sails and an additional machine system through which the ship can travel up to 15 knots. The Wind Spirit , designed for a total of 159 passengers, is mainly used for cruises in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

In addition to the dining room, the ship's equipment includes a library, a lounge, a casino, a veranda restaurant as well as several bars and pools.
