Windpassing is a district of the market town of Hauzenberg and a district in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau . The village is about six kilometers south of Hauzenberg on the PA40 district road.

history

Windpassing was part of the Hauzenberg office of the Oberhaus regional court in the Passau diocese . The place was secularized in 1803 with the largest part of the Hochstiftischen area in favor of Ferdinand of Tuscany . Since the peace treaties of Brno and Pressburg in 1805 , the place has belonged to Bavaria. The rural community Windpassing was founded in 1818 by the Bavarian community edict. This was done by dividing the Jahrdorf tax district, with the municipality of Windpassing emerging from its southern part and the municipality of Jahrdorf emerging from the northern part. On January 1, 1972, the communities Germannsdorf , Jahrdorf , Raßreuth and Windpassing were incorporated into the Hauzenberg market.
