Evgenija Sergejewna Sakharova (born October 4, 1994 in Novouralsk ) is a Russian short tracker .

Career

Sakharova first appeared at the 2010 Junior World Championships in Taipei . There she took 27th place in the all-around competition and eighth place with the relay. The following year she came at the Junior World Championships in Courmayeur on the 20th place in the all-around and on the eighth place with the relay. She made her debut in the Short Track World Cup in October 2011 in Salt Lake City , which she finished in 32nd place over 1500 m and 26th place over 500 m. At the end of January 2012 she was fifth with the relay at the European Championships in Mladá Boleslav . At the Junior World Championships in Melbourne in 2012 and at the Junior World Championships in Warsaw in 2013 , she won the bronze medal with the relay. In the 2014/15 season, she won the relay gold medal at the 2015 European Championships in Dordrecht . In addition, she was ninth in the all-around event and achieved 17th place in the all- around event at the 2015 World Championships in Moscow . In the following season she reached in Dordrecht with the second place with the relay, her first podium in the World Cup. At the 2016 European Championships in Sochi she won the silver medal with the relay and the bronze medal with the relay at the 2016 World Championships in Seoul . The following year she won her first World Cup victory in Minsk with the relay and came sixth with the relay at the 2017 World Championships in Rotterdam . In the 2018/19 season she won the World Cup in Turin with the mixed relay and won the silver medal with the relay at the 2019 European Championships in Dordrecht. At the Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk , she was sixth in the 1500 m and won the gold medal with the relay. In the 2019/20 season she ran in Montreal to second place with the mixed relay and in Nagoya to third place with the relay and second place with the mixed relay. At the European Championships 2020 in Debrecen she won the bronze medal with the relay and finished 11th in the all-around event.
