Winfried Rippert (born September 3, 1935 in Fulda ; † July 28, 2020 in Fulda) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After completing elementary school and commercial vocational college, Rippert completed a commercial training and became the owner of a mineral oil business.

politics

Rippert has been a member of the CDU since 1961 and has been chairman of the CDU in Fulda for many years. In 1963 he was the deputy state chairman of the Junge Union Hessen.

Winfried Rippert was district chairman of the medium-sized business association of the CDU (MIT) in Fulda until 2013 and was also a member of the presidium of the regional association.

Winfried Rippert had been a city councilor in Fulda since 1964. There, as in the Fulda district council, he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. He was also deputy chairman of the regional planning community for North Hesse.

Since December 5, 1972, Rippert was a member of the Hessian state parliament. His predecessor in the state parliament was Alfred Dregger . Rippert remained a member of the state parliament for eight electoral terms and left parliament on April 4, 1999.

Other offices

Winfried Rippert was heavily involved in the Catholic Church and from 1959 to 1962 was a diocesan youth leader in the Federation of German Catholic Youth .

Rippert was an honorary member of the German-American Friendship, Culture & Sports Association KONTAKT Fulda eV

Honors

Winfried Rippert received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in 1987 and first class in 1999.

Rippert was honored with the Ulrich plaque by the city of Hünfeld .
