Winfried Vahlensieck
Winfried Karl Gottfried Vahlensieck (born April 16, 1929 in Salzkotten , † April 18, 2008 in Bonn ) was a German urologist .
Life
Winfried Vahlensieck studied medicine at the University of Friborg and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . After his state examination in 1955 he became a thesis on tibial plateau fractures and assessing their results late in Bonn to Dr. med. PhD . After his assistantship, he completed specialist training in urology and surgery . In 1965 he completed his habilitation in Bonn with the work Experimental Contribution to Issues of Kidney Transplantation .
In 1971, he received a call to a professorship at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn and was appointed in Bonn for the first director of the newly founded Urological University Clinic. In 1994 he retired.
Act
Vahlensieck has published more than 400 publications and given around 250 lectures. He was active in numerous university bodies, scientific societies and in advanced training. He was also involved in the Bonn Medical Association, in the Bonn district office of the North Rhine Medical Association , in the North Rhine Medical Association and in the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Medical Association . In 1987 he received the Johannes Weyer Medal of the North Rhine Medical Association, and later the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class. He was also involved in the German Continence Society.
Since 1950 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Teutonia Friborg and the KDSt.V. Novesia Bonn , both in CV .
