Winfried Werner Linde

Winfried Werner Linde (born June 7, 1943 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian journalist and writer .

Life

Winfried Werner Linde lives and works in Innsbruck. In addition to his work as a writer, he worked as an editor for the Austrian daily Kurier for 22 years before he retired in 2008 . He has published on ORF and in various newspapers and magazines. Until April 2009 his weekly columns appeared under “Der Linde” in the newspaper “Tiroler Woche”.

From 1978 to 1980 he was the cultural and political commentator for the Reutten district newspaper “Die Neue”. From 1980 to 1984 he worked as a member of the editorial team of the Stattzeitung.

To date he has published 15 books and eight plays, mainly for open-air performances at special venues in Tyrol. He is co-initiator (with architect Michael Prachensky) of the meeting place of the world religions in Seefeld in Tyrol .

The book Die Walder-Saga , which has been reprinted several times, deals with the violent death of the poacher Pius Walder and its consequences.
