Winfried von der Schulenburg

Winfried von der Schulenburg (born June 1, 1882 in Potsdam ; † May 1, 1945 ) was a German lieutenant general in World War II .

Life

Schulenburg joined the Prussian Army in 1901 and fought in the First World War. After the end of the war he was accepted into the Imperial Army . Schulenburg u. a. the 6th (Prussian) cavalry regiment in Pasewalk from January 1, 1931 to March 31, 1934. In 1933 Schulenburg was appointed major general and on April 1, 1934 he was passed away.

With the beginning of the Second World War, Schulenburg was appointed General for Prisoners of War in the Army High Command (OKH). On May 31, 1943, his use of mobilization was revoked.
