reception

Winter Olympics received consistently positive ratings and is now considered a classic for the Commodore 264 series (consisting of the C16 , C116 and Plus / 4 ).

"In our opinion, the Winter Olympics is the best C16 game that is currently on the market."

Remarks

The music of the opening ceremony is based on the theme melody of the TV series Dallas , while speed skating it is reminiscent of P. Lion's Happy Children . The game was programmed entirely in machine language . The sales price was in the inexpensive range (so-called “budget titles”) at 19.95 DM or £ 7.95.

There are unmistakable parallels to Winter Games from Epyx . In English-speaking countries it was published under the title Winter Events and was distributed by Anco Software .
