The Winzerbach before crossing the Eulenweg at the school forest biotope in the Wiesengrund |
The Winzerbach is a brook in Bonn that runs through the district of Dottendorf . Its total length is 0.99 kilometers, its catchment area is <1.0 square kilometers.
course
The Winzerbach rises 150 m east of the Pathological Institute of the University Hospital Bonn on the eastern slope of the southern Ville above Winzerstraße. The spring is a typical seepage spring within a slope basin, which is fed by aquifers below the main terrace .
From there the stream runs in a north-easterly direction until, after about 100 m, it feeds some narrow fish ponds parallel to the slope. In its further course, the stream crosses a meadow on private property, at the lower limit of which it disappears into the canal. The 715 m long canal then follows the Winzerstraße and the Eulenweg, where the stream emerges again at a turning hammer at the end of the street and from now on follows a naturally designed flow path with a low slope next to the Eulenweg for 120 m. About 70 m after crossing the Eulenweg at the school forest biotope in the Wiesengrund, where it takes up the seasonal water-bearing Annabergbach , the Winzerbach flows under a footbridge at the end of the street "Im Wiesengrund" into the Annaberg Bach .
The stream flows through the settlement area for the most part piped. The water quality in the open areas is I-II.
Naming
The Winzerbach got its name from earlier viticulture in the area of its upper course in the Winzerstraße.
particularities
In the headwaters of the brook, pure quartz (rock crystal) occurs occasionally .
The stretch of water above the fish ponds in Winzerstraße is not accessible by paths and is difficult to access. As a result, the aquatic ecology there is hardly disturbed.
A small part of the stream water is used in the Winzerstraße to irrigate a nursery.
For the transition to the Annaberger Bach, the slope of the lower brook in the meadow had to be changed. There the stream flows against the natural gradient.
