Wish (Live) is the second live album by the German band Reamonn . The album was released on June 1, 2007 on both CD and DVD on the Island Records label .

History of origin

The live album was recorded on February 11, 2007 in the König-Pilsener-Arena in Oberhausen on the tour of the eponymous album Wish . The live album is not a complete concert, but only contains the titles of the Wish album, excluding Just Another Night and LA Skies . Lucie Silvas can be seen and heard as a guest singer on The Only Ones . As a bonus, there is also an acoustic version of the song Alright from the album Beautiful Sky and the video clip for Serpentine . The DVD also contains a backstage look with exclusive interviews and an insight into the musicians' private lives.

criticism

Katja Scherle ( Laut.de ) criticized the poor live sound, which would only be acceptable on DVD in stereo . Camera work is also not varied. Only occasionally would a " split screen setting" allow several views of the same situation, otherwise it would not be very varied. The extras are not ideal either:

"Wish Live" should have offered "a little more". For the concert, which is cut almost too brashly between the tracks, there is the slightly more baroque "Movie" version. But it seems rather embarrassed to be inflated with filling material such as small interview snippets, backstage recordings and off-the-record additions. Even the obligatory encore, announced as a "bonus", must first be clicked separately in the menu. Less pathos in the concert, more additions afterwards would have been desirable. "
