Wita Palamar ( Ukrainian Віта Паламар , English transcription Vita Palamar , completely Вікторія Григорівна Паламар , Wiktorija Hryhorivna Palamar ; born October 12, 1977 in Khmelnyzkyj ) is a Ukrainian high jumper .

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, she was seventh. The following year she was fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon and at the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton and won gold at the Universiade .

A fifth place at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis was followed by a fourth place at the 2004 World Indoor Championships in Budapest and a fifth place at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki.

In 2007 she was seventh at the World Championships in Osaka , in 2008 she won bronze at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia and fifth at the Olympic Games in Beijing , and in 2009 she was eliminated from the qualification at the World Championships in Berlin . In follow-up tests for the 2008 Olympic Games in November 2016, she was convicted of doping with Turinabol and disqualified.

Her best performance is both outdoors (August 15, 2003 in Zurich and September 13, 2003 in Monaco ) and indoors (March 9, 2008 in Valencia ) at 2.01 m.
