The Witjira National Park (English: Witjira National Park ) is 7,770 km² and was founded in 1985 at the western end of the Simpson Desert in northern South Australia near the settlement of Oodnadatta .

The park shows some biological and geological sights. Around Dalhousie Mound springs there are 70 hot springs out of a total of 120 springs in the park, which are animated with endemic fish and other rare animals and birds. There are various options for resting and camping in the park, although safety instructions should be observed.
More common tree species are the red mulga ( Acacia cyperophylla ), the coolibah ( Eucalyptus coolabah ) and white wood species ( Elaeocarpus ).
Aboriginal
The Aboriginal peoples of the Lower Southern Arrernte , Wangkangurru and Arabunnal live in the park. They have organized themselves into the Irrwanyere Aboriginal Corporation and manage the park. The traditional life of the Aborigines is maintained and this is combined with modern tourism.
