action

There are several storylines in the film, with actions and people intersecting and influencing each other. The seemingly independent stories ultimately all have to do with one another. The focus is on the club and the appearance of "DJ Lush Puppy" together with "Sample People" announced on posters.

Joey & Gus

It all starts with the middle-class boy and wannabe homeboy Joey attacking and beating androgynous John at the back entrance of a club. When Joey kicks the one lying on the floor with his feet and pulls out a knife, his friend Gus holds him back and urges him to just go on.

Sem & Cleo

Sem helps a girl at the club who collapsed from a drug overdose. When he suddenly thinks he recognizes the face of his friend Cleo in the strange girl, he is confused. Later he interprets this illusion as a premonition.

TT, Jess & Andy

In the back room of the club, drug lord TT meet his muse Jess and Andy. Andy works as a courier for TT and receives a delivery of cash and drugs to hand over. TT makes it clear that he would kill Andy if Andy tried to deceive him in the process. TT doesn't yet know that Andy actually planned to run away with the money and his secret lover, Jess.

Phil, Len & DJ Lush Puppy

The shy Len works for the Indian Phil in the store "Phils Felafel" and raves about a skateboarding scene girlie who plays records in clubs as a "DJ Lush Puppy" and runs a shop for trendy clothes. Phil also has a son named Shiva who performs as a dancer in the club.

Sem & Cleo

Sem finds the beaten up John on the street and takes him home in his car. There John offers the two pills without revealing what exactly they contain, and also takes one himself. At an outdoor picnic shortly afterwards, everyone is on a drug frenzy. John has sex with Cleo.

In the meantime, TT suspects that his Jess and Andy have something with each other and becomes suspicious. Jess puts a pistol to TT's head in overreaction, TT is unimpressed, and Jess drops the pistol. Meanwhile, Joey plans to rob the thrift store where DJ Lush Puppy works. His friend Gus can talk him out of the nonsense again. Len stumbles into the shop through them and meets his secret love straight away. TT seeks Andy to confront him, then Andy runs away. Sem meets Cleo again in front of the club by playing the trumpet in a band today and makes it clear to her that he no longer wants her to sleep with others. Joey and Gus try to get into the club too, but are turned away by the bouncer and go to the back entrance, where TT is just coming out, and both go through the open door. Inside they meet John again, and Joey starts to cause trouble again, immediately kicking them both out of the club.

Len, who is in love, wants to get money for DJ Lush Puppy's shop and is meanwhile raiding Phil's shop with a mask over his head, where Andy, Sem and Cleo are at the moment. Len is recognized by everyone despite the mask. As he storms outside, he is hit by a car in which Joey and Gus are arriving to rob Pil's shop too. Cleo breaks down because of her drug use, while Joey shoots Andy in the rush. Len comes back and shoots Joey. Andy takes the gun from Len's hand and walks out the door covered in blood, where after a few meters Jess takes him in her car. Cleo is saved in an ambulance. Len and DJ Lush Puppy end up getting together, with Phil forgiving Len and letting him keep working in his shop.
