Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Belov ( Russian: Вячеслав Александрович Белов ; born April 17, 1983 in Perm , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Schachzjor Salihorsk since January 2017 .

Career

Vyacheslav Below began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Molot-Prikamje Perm . From there he moved to the youth department of the HK Awangard Omsk , for whose second team he was active from 1998 to 2001 in the third-rate Pervaya League . After he had spent the 2001/02 season at Mostowik Kurgan in the Wysschaja Liga , the second division of Russia, the defender made his debut in the Superliga in the following season . First he was three times for HK Awangard on the ice, before he spent the rest of the season at HK Sibir Novosibirsk .

For the 2003/04 season Below returned to HK Awangard Omsk. The team won the Russian championship title this season , but he only played six games and was therefore not part of the championship. Following this success he ran on in the following season for the HK Metschel Chelyabinsk in the Wysschaja Liga. The 2005/06 season he started again at Omsk in the Superliga, but played only five times for the first team before moving to Salawat Yulayev Ufa , for which he was active in the following year and a half. In the 2007/08 season, the right-handed shooter was under contract with HK Spartak Moscow in the Russian capital . For the capital city, he scored a total of eight goals in 61 games and provided 19 templates.

From 2008 to 2010 Below played in the newly established Continental Hockey League for HK Awangard Omsk. He was then committed to the 2010/11 season by another ex-club, HK Sibir Novosibirsk. For Sibir he completed over 90 KHL games in the following two seasons before moving to Atlant Mytishchi in January 2012 within the KHL . At Atlant, however, he could not recommend himself for a new contract and was therefore hired by HK tractor Chelyabinsk in May of the same year . At Traktor he was one of the top performers in the following season and made it to the final of the Gagarin Cup with the club . After this success he returned to HK Sibir Novosibirsk.

Between November 2015 and May 2016 he was under contract with HK Spartak Moscow.
