Vyacheslav Nikolajewitsch Tschistjakow ( Russian Вячеслав Николаевич Чистяков ; born December 18, 1980 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Sputnik Nizhny Tagil in the Vysschaja Hockey League . His brother Sergei Chistjakov is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Vyacheslav Chistyakov began his career as a hockey player with Metallurg Serow , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division, in the 1998/99 season . He then played for a year for HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , for which he only made four appearances in the Super League in the 1999/2000 season . Then the attacker returned to Metallurg Serow in the second division. In the 2001/02 season he was on the ice for HK Metschel Chelyabinsk in the super league, before he spent the 2002/03 season with its city neighbor HK Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Wysschaja Liga.

From 2003 to 2009 Tschistjakow played continuously in the Wysschaja Liga. During this period he ran for Sauralje Kurgan , Sputnik Nizhny Tagil , Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg and Gasowik Tyumen . After Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg had been accepted into the Continental Hockey League founded a year earlier for the 2009/10 season , the Russian returned to his former club, for which he was a regular in the KHL in the following two years. For the 2011/12 season he joined his ex-club Sputnik Nizhny Tagil from the Wysschaja Hockey League .
