The Wjoksa ( Russian Вёкса ) forms the outflow of Lake Tschuchloma in the Kostroma catchment area in the Russian Oblast of Kostroma .

The Wjoksa leaves the Tschuchlomasee, located on the Galitscher Heights , on its northwest bank. It meanders through the swampy forest landscape in a predominantly north-westerly direction. Finally it unites with the Wotscha coming from the right and richer in water at Korovovovo .

There are different statements as to which of the two rivers the 8.9 km long river section below Korownowo to the confluence with the left bank of the Kostroma is assigned.

The Vjoksa has a length of 34 km to the union with the Wotscha. The catchment area of the Vjoksa-Wotscha river system covers 1360 km². Settlements on the course of the Vyoksa are Fyodorovskoye and Losewo .
