The Westallgäuer , WA for short , is a local newspaper of the Bavarian Westallgäu and at the same time one of the oldest newspapers in Bavaria .

history

In January 1852 it appeared for the first time under the name of Wochenblatt for the market hamlet and the surrounding area . In 1887 the name was changed to an advertisement sheet for the western Allgäu . From 1913 the newspaper appeared daily. After 1945 she was finally given the title Der Westallgäuer .
