Residential building Rembertistraße 1A
The residential building at Rembertistraße 1A , at the corner of Contrescarpe , Fedellisten and President-Kennedy-Platz , is located in Bremen , Mitte district, Ostertor district. It was built in 1846 according to plans by master bricklayer Diedrich Christian Rutenberg .
The building has been a listed building in Bremen since 1973 .
history
The three-storey, plastered house with a hipped roof , the cantilevered eaves cornice, the balcony on the first floor with a heavily decorated iron grille, the beautiful side portal with Ionic pilasters and a plinth was built in 1846 in the epoch of classicism for master baker Johann David Herklots.
The single-storey extension and the modern exhibition extension for the Fedelhör came about later.
Today (2018) the building is used for living, for offices and since 1920 by the Graphisches Kabinett , where exhibitions also take place and the art trade is Wolfgang Werner and the Paula Modersohn-Becker Foundation .
