Wojciech Golla (born January 12, 1992 in Złotów ) is a Polish football player . He mainly plays in the position of central defender and is currently under contract with the Polish first division club Śląsk Wrocław . He is a multiple Polish youth national player and a one-time senior national player .

Career

Golla comes from the youth of Sparta Złotów , from which he moved to Lech Posen in early 2008 . On November 19, 2008 he came in the away game against GKS Bełchatów in the Ekstraklasa Cup to his first and only game in the professional team. Since he only appeared for the reserve teams in the following years, he decided in January 2012 for the transfer to Pogoń Stettin . Initially still at home in defensive midfield, he began to appear as a central defender from the 2013/14 season and played his way into the focus of the national team with strong performances. He received his first nomination for the Polish national soccer team for the games against Norway and Moldova in January 2014. He made his debut on January 20 in a 1-0 win against Moldova. On June 4, 2015 Golla signed a two-year contract with the Dutch first division club NEC Nijmegen .
