Wolf-Rüdiger Michel (* 1958 ) is a German jurist , politician ( CDU ) since 2002 and district administrator of the district of Rottweil .

education and profession

After studying law at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg , he was employed as a lawyer in Freiburg from 1989 to 1990 . From 1990 to 1992 he worked at the district office of the Ortenau district before moving to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport in 1993 . With a thesis on the subject of the Württemberg law on the churches of March 3, 1924: Origin and Development , he received his doctorate in 1993 in Freiburg as a doctor of law . From 1994 to 2002 he was employed by the Stuttgart regional council , where he worked as an advisor in the waste management department, as a personal advisor to the regional president and later as the deputy chief of police and department head of the administrative department of the Stuttgart state police department.

Political career

In 2002, Michel was from the district council elected district administrator of Rottweil. On February 8, 2010 he was confirmed in this office with 41 of 48 votes. On February 5, 2018, District Administrator Wolf-Rüdiger Michel (CDU) was confirmed in office for another eight years.

Other offices

In his role as district administrator, he is also chairman of the board of directors of Kreissparkasse Rottweil and deputy chairman of the board of the Oberschwäbische Elektrizitätswerke (OEW) as well as a member of the supervisory board of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG . He is also a member of the supervisory board of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg mbH business development company, thereby influencing local business development . On October 11, 2019, Wolf-Rüdiger Michel (CDU) was elected chairman of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg regional association .
