Wolf-Ulrich Cropp
Wolf-Ulrich Cropp (born July 25, 1941 in Hamburg , occasionally used pseudonym Carl Conte ) is a German writer . During his work for companies from different countries, he traveled around the world several times. He processed the experiences and experiences made in more than 20 books and various articles, essays and short stories .
Life
Cropp studied after high school engineering and business administration and graduated with a degree as an industrial engineer .
Until 1996 he worked in several companies in Germany and abroad as managing director and general representative. On the side he wrote books and specialized treatises. He did his doctorate with a thesis in the field of foreign trade. From 1997 onwards, Cropp devoted himself entirely to writing and journalism. So far, he has published 23 books and over 200 articles, reports, short stories and features - partly under the pseudonym Carl Conte - and has contributed to several anthologies .
Cropp is deputy chairwoman of the Hamburg authors' association. He is a jury member of the Irmgard Heilmann Prize and a member and coordinator of the main jury of the Walter Kempowski Literature Prize .
