Wolf Warrior ( Chinese 战狼 , Pinyin Zhàn Láng ) is a Chinese action film by director and screenwriter Wu Jing from the year 2015 . The main characters are Scott Adkins and Wu Jing. The film premiered in China on April 6, 2015 and was released in Germany on February 25, 2016 on DVD and Blu-ray.

The Chinese sniper Leng Feng (Wu Jing) can be seen at the beginning of the film in a cell of the military prison. He is being held there because he shot the kidnapper through a wall during a raid in which a hostage was threatened, despite an order to stop the fire. However, he was able to save the hostage, which he mentions repeatedly in an interrogation. The woman interrogating him said he was suitable for the Chinese special unit "Wolf Warrior", which is under her command, whereupon he joins them. During a training battle, which initially resulted in an attack by a pack of wolves, the special unit is suddenly attacked with real weapons. They then pursue the attackers, who belong to a foreign unit and are supported by a gang boss in China. The foreign unit withdraws, shoots from undercover and activates some previously prepared booby traps. After the exchange of fire, the protagonist Feng now faces the attacker Tom Cat (Scott Adkins). During the knife fight, Feng repeats time and again that foreign units have no chance of fighting China. He is slightly injured but can defeat Tom. Thereupon more attackers appear who have disguised themselves as medical troops. However, Feng recognizes the trap and arrests the gang boss. Finally, the remaining attackers are followed by a Chinese helicopter. At the end of the film, Feng is sitting in a car with Long Xiaoyun (Yu Nan), who initially interrogated him and brought him to the Wolf Warrior, and wants to go out for a drink with her.
Others
Wu Jing sustained numerous injuries while filming. For example, he injured his head while fighting Scott Adkins and sustained an eye injury in an explosion.
Sequels
The film's sequel, Wolf Warrior 2 , became a resounding financial success in 2017, earning the highest grossing ever in China.
A third part has already been confirmed by Wu Jing.
