Wolfgang Bodeit

Wolfgang Bodeit (born April 14, 1938 in Königsberg (Prussia) ; † February 16, 2018 in Hamburg ) was a German politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and politics

Bodeit was a trained professional soldier and married. He joined the FDP at the same time as his wife in 1963.

From 1974 to 1978 and again from 1987 to 1993 he was a member of the Hamburg citizenship and in the 14th electoral term represented his parliamentary group in the Committee for Home Affairs and for the Civil Service, Sports Committee, Legal Committee and Health Committee. In the meantime he was also a specialist spokesman for internal affairs and law.

In the 2004 general election, Bodeit was in 14th place on the state list. However, the FDP missed entry into the citizenry (18th electoral term) .

He was deputy state chairman of the FDP Hamburg and chairman of the FDP Hamburg-Mitte .

He was an assessor on the board of the FDP in Hamburg-Mitte . He was also chairman of the Liberal Seniors of the Hamburg regional association. He was also chairman of the FDP-affiliated Emilie Kiep Altenloh Foundation .

At the state party conference of the FDP on April 6, 2013 he was made an honorary member of the FDP Hamburg.
