Wolfgang Boos (born January 13, 1946 in Füssen ) is a former German ice hockey player and today's tennis player . His son Tino is also active as an ice hockey player.

Career

Boos began his career at ESV Kaufbeuren in 1963. After playing there for four seasons, he moved to Düsseldorfer EG in 1967 . With the team he became German ice hockey champion in 1972 and 1975 . At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , he was a member of the German national team , which won the bronze medal in the tournament.

For winning the bronze medal, he and the German ice hockey team were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf.

After finishing his ice hockey career, Boos switched to tennis . In the senior age group , he was able to win several regional championship titles in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area.

Professionally, he was a civil servant at the city of Kaufbeuren and after moving to Düsseldorf he worked for the city of Düsseldorf.
