Life

From 1945 to 1950, Bunte studied Protestant theology at the universities of Wuppertal , Heidelberg and Bonn . In 1953 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the mixed natractate Zabim ( those afflicted with seminal flow ) for Dr. theol. (AT) in Heidelberg with Gerhard von Rad , a topic that he also dealt with for the so-called "Gießener Mishnah" . For this series founded by the Protestant theologians Georg Beer and Oskar Holtzmann , he led several articles on individual tracts from the first and sixth order.

Another focus of his publications are works on interreligious dialogue in the Netherlands between the 12th and 17th centuries, as well as translations from Dutch.

He worked as a Protestant pastor in Remscheid-Lennep and had a teaching position for Jewish studies at the Wuppertal Church University .

In 1966 he was one of the co-signers of an open letter from 600 pastors and pastors to the members of the German Bundestag, in which, in view of the grand coalition and the discussion about a possible emergency legislation, they expressed their concern that the FRG was moving towards the Weimar Republic.
