Wolfgang Erasmus Sterrer (born December 12, 1940 in Perg ) is an Austrian marine zoologist , non-fiction author and university lecturer .

Live and act

Wolfgang Sterrer is the son of Rupert Sterrer and Gertrude Sterrer (* Dirnberger). He studied zoology at the University of Vienna , where he received his doctorate in 1967 .

After postgraduate studies in Vienna and Chapel Hill, he moved to Bermuda in 1969 , where he headed the Bermuda Biological Station in Saint George’s until 1986 . From 1987 to 2005 he was the curator of the Bermuda Natural History Museum in Flatts Village. From 1973 he taught as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill .

In 1995 he married Susan Korette Young and has lived near London ever since .
