Wolfgang Glenz (born March 24, 1952 in Darmstadt ) is a German local politician ( SPD ), mayor and treasurer .

Career

Wolfgang Glenz is a trained banker . Glenz was chairman of the staff council and trainer at Sparkasse Darmstadt . From 2003 to 2011 he was mayor and treasurer of Darmstadt . He was Horst Knechtel's successor in the mayor's office . Glenz only prevailed within the party with a slim majority. In 2011 he was voted out of office by Mayor Jochen Partsch . His successor in the mayor's office was Rafael Reisser . Glenz was also chairman of the SPD in Darmstadt.
