Wolfgang Kummer (born March 29, 1970 in Rosenheim ) is a former German ice hockey player who played in the ice hockey Bundesliga for the SB Rosenheim , the Düsseldorfer EG and the Kaufbeurer Adler , but also in the German national ice hockey team.

career

Wolfgang Kummer comes from the offspring of SB Rosenheim and, as an 18-year-old young national player, made the leap into the Bundesliga team in the 1988/89 season, which became German champions that season . After making the leap into the German national ice hockey team in his fourth season in Rosenheim and taking part in the 1992 World Cup in Prague , he moved to the Düsseldorfer EG . In his first year he won the championship with DEG and played his part in it with strong performances.

In addition to other world championships, he also played at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , Norway , where the German team took seventh place. After his third championship in the 1995/96 season , he left Düsseldorf and joined the Kaufbeurer Adlers . He stayed in the Allgäu for a year and a half before returning to Rosenheim at the end of 1997. After he was no longer able to match the previous level, he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga at ERC Ingolstadt at the end of 1999 . He stayed there until the 2001/02 season . After three more years in the 2nd Bundesliga, in which he played for SC Bietigheim-Bissingen , Heilbronner Falken and Füchse Duisburg , he ended his active career.
